WELCOME
We are a diverse group of individuals who practice Zen meditation for the purpose of attaining enlightenment and saving our
fellow beings from suffering. We meet each Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in Island Lake (28025 Lakeview Circle) at the home of Zen
monk Ji Hak Sunim - see map. Newcomers are always welcome - simply enter through garage. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes are recommended
for sitting meditation.
Island Lake Zen Group is part of the Ten Directions Zen Community of the Chicagoland area. As such, we frequently
join local practitioners for retreats and days of meditation.
